Advisory Panels

Two formal advisory panels have been established to support the board:

  • The Traditional Owner Advisory Committee (TOAC) and the
  • Industry Advisory Group (IAG).

Traditional Owner Advisory Committee (TOAC)

The TOAC's role is to advise and work with the Terrain Board to ensure the priorities of the region's Traditional Owners in managing cultural and natural resources are recognised and addressed.

The committee comprises Terrain's Director Indigenous Troy Whyles-Whelan and Indigenous Support Member Elsie Go-Sam with seven members from the Aboriginal Rainforest Council and a representative from the Bar Barrum Traditional Owner Group.

Industry Advisory Group (IAG)

Chaired by Terrain's Director Industry Bill Shannon, this group provides direct access for industry representatives from across the region to share information with Terrain's Board of Directors.

This group meets quarterly to discuss topics such as farm management systems, matters of water quality and to provide direction to the sustainable agriculture program.
