Community
The successful management of natural resources in the Wet Tropics must involve the grass-roots support of local communities, which are best-placed to monitor and maintain these resources in the long term.

In the Wet Tropics, there is a expansive and active network of industry, conservation, indigenous landholders, local government, Landcare and Catchment Management groups as well as State and Federal government agencies who are all committed to the conservation and sustainable use of our landscapes.

Together they plan, research, resource and carry out a diversity of projects around sustainable agriculture, biodiversity and ecosystem services, water resources and protecting and maintaining cultural and social values.

Terrain NRM's aims to foster and build upon this wealth of knowledge, goodwill and energy inherent within our community by providing information, education, resources and institutional support.
