$4.1 Million Threatened Species Fund Opens

June 19, 2017

The Australian Government is inviting funding applications of up to $250,000 from groups helping threatened species.

The $4.1 million Threatened Species Recovery Fund, through the National Landcare Programme, seeks to support communities to actively promote threatened species, particularly through projects highlighted in the Threatened Species Strategy targets and objectives.

To make the most of this opportunity, Terrain is running a workshop for interested community, Traditional Owner, science, government and industry groups in Innisfail on 22 May. It will provide information about how to apply for the grants, facilitate the sharing of project ideas and look to find ways for groups to work together in applying for this funding.

For more information about the workshop contact Tony O'Malley via email at tony.omalley@terrain.org.au.

More information on the Threatened Species Recovery Fund, including details on how to apply, can be found on the National Landcare Programme website.

Applications close on 15 June 2017.
